Evidence-based results from our flagship programs and community interventions
Successfully implemented comprehensive malaria prevention program across Katsina Local Government Council (2009-2012). Distributed over 50,000 insecticide-treated mosquito nets statewide, achieving a 40% reduction in malaria cases. Project received full support from Katsina State Government Ministry of Health and direct endorsement from Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema.
Conducted comprehensive malaria awareness and training workshop (February 2011) sponsored by Society for Family Health. Trained over 200 local health practitioners on evidence-based malaria prevention and treatment protocols, directly reaching 15,000 vulnerable community members across 5 LGAs in Katsina State.
Mobilized communities for comprehensive routine immunization rounds, supporting national IPDs program implementation. Enhanced vaccination coverage by 35% through targeted community engagement and education, contributing to significant improvements in child health outcomes and reduced infant mortality rates.
Delivered comprehensive intervention packages for prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV under the HAF HPDP II Project. Achieved 25% reduction in HIV prevalence rates among out-of-school youths through innovative peer education programs and community-based testing initiatives in collaboration with KATSACA.
Engaged over 500 stakeholders through culturally appropriate messaging, community dialogues, town hall meetings, and multi-channel health campaigns. Successfully influenced 3 major public health policies at state level and strengthened implementation of education sector reforms through evidence-based advocacy.
Implemented vigorous multi-platform awareness campaigns using radio, community networks, and digital channels. Reached over 2 million people across Northern Nigeria, creating measurable behavioral changes on critical health and education issues, with 70% of target populations reporting improved knowledge and practices.
